Prayers For David Tarver’s Daughter In Law

ELANCO Friends:

As you will read, David Tarver and his family have serious health problems with their daughter-in-law. The Tarver family can sure use your prayers for Liz and her family.

This has sure been a very challenging Christmas season with all the bad news our ELANCO Families are dealing with and our prayers are so needed.

Bill Massey

Reverend Massey,

It appears your previous acting career has proven to serve you well as a prophet and messenger. Although the serious medical conditions of ELANCO friends remind us constantly how dear and short life is, it also has proven self evident as how wonderful true friendships are and how very important and lucky those who are part of such a close “family” really are. Our 32 year old daughter in law, Liz, just found out she has cervical cancer stage 2, and our Christmas time thoughts, actions and prayers are now focused on seeking expertise from the medical profession and true healing from the Lord. I know she’s not a member of the ELANCO family past, directly, but would it would mean so much if others with similar family challenges, thoughts and cares could include Liz and her two babies, Presley and Bristol Lynn Tarver –age 1.5 and 6.0 yrs. in their prayers too.

Thanks Bill, God Bless,

David Tarver

Elanco Friends:

Just received this update on Jim Bryan’s passing from Don Grant.

Jim Bryan passed away early this morning at his home here in Hernando, MS. As most of you know he has been fighting cancer for the last 5 years or so. His body will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be sometime after the first of the year. I will pass on the details as soon as they are available.

Please keep Sharon and his family in you prayers.

Bill, please pass this on to your Elanco network.

Regards,

Don Grant

Jim Bryan passed away earlier this morning at his home following his battle with lung cancer. Jim’s body will be cremated so there will be no services at this time.

Sharon informed me that they are planning to hold a “celebration of life” gathering to honor Jim at their church sometime after the first of the year. Details about the celebration will be forwarded at a later date.

Please keep the Bryan family in your prayers.

Update on Ron and Gerrie Laughlin from Gib Crowell (12-19-11)

Hi ELANCO Friends:

Doug Vawter and I received this update on Ron Laughlin and his wife, Gerrie yesterday from Gib Crowell. As you will read, they are dealing with significant health issues and can sure use our prayers.

Bill Massey

Bill and Doug,
I have just communicated via email with Ron Laughlin and here is an update on his family’s health issues:

· Gerrie has been battling ovarian cancer for 6 years. She was off chemo last year but has had a flare up and is back on it.

· Ron is now suffering from myasthenia gravis, an auto immune disease that he says is akin to ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Cerebral Palsy and MD.

I know you both, as well as I, grieve for them. These are the only details I have at this moment – please keep Ron and Gerrie in your prayers.

Regards,

Gib

Karl Underwood Update From Tom Fleming (12-17-11)

Hi Elanco Friends:

Received the following update on Karl Underwood from Tom Fleming this afternoon. FYI and as Tom suggests, do keep Karl and his family in your prayers.

Bill Massey

Elanco Group:

Just got off the phone with Karl, he is doing o.k., pretty weak, shortness on breath, but still able to be positive about his situation. He is still going on with the cancer (lung) treatments, but that puts stress on his heart
( has an artery 100% blocked) so he said he’s doing the best he can & trusting his medical group that’s treating him. We need to keep ‘Heavy’ & his family in our thoughts & prayers.

Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!

Update on Jerry Keaton from Don Addison (12-10-11)

Hi ELANCO Friends:

I received this update from Don Addison over the weekend and with the hectic pace of the Christmas season, I am a bit late getting it out. Please keep Jerry and his family in your prayers.

Bill Massey

Bill, I talked with Chalisa earlier in the week and she said that Jerry was home and was doing a bit better. He had a rough case of bronchitis and wasn’t really able to cough much due to weak lungs and diaphragm. He couldn’t talk with me but was up and able to visit with family.
